Justice Vincent Hoong
Justice Vincent Hoong was appointed Judicial Commissioner on 10 April 2019 and a High Court Judge on 3 January 2020; he is concurrently the Presiding Judge of the State Courts.
Between 1984 and 1997, he served as an Assistant Registrar in the Supreme Court, and as a Magistrate and District Judge in the Subordinate Courts.
Justice Hoong managed the Ministry of Law’s Singapore Land Registry from 1997 to 2001. Thereafter, he served at the Singapore Land Authority as Deputy Chief Executive, Chief Legal Officer, and eventually Chief Executive until 2015. Concurrently, he was also the Registrar of Titles & Deeds and Controller of Residential Property (from 2000 to 2015), and Commissioner of Lands (from 2002 to 2009).
He was appointed Registrar of the Supreme Court in April 2015 .
Justice Hoong is currently on the Singapore Academy of Law’s LawNet Management Committee.
He was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Gold) in 2015.
