Acting Deputy Commissioner (Investigation & Intelligence) Zhang Weihan

Mr Zhang assumed the role of Acting Deputy Commissioner (Investigation & Intelligence) and Director of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Singapore Police Force (SPF) in May 2024. He oversees the investigation of all major and specialised crimes in Singapore, and advances investigation and intelligence policies and capabilities in the SPF.

Mr Zhang has served the Singapore Civil Service for more than 23 years, including with the SPF, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Trade and Industry. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Director of the Police Intelligence Department from 2022 to 2024, Deputy Director of CID from 2020 to 2022 and Commander of Ang Mo Kio Police Division from 2017 to 2020.
